Happy Monday All!
Because February is right around the corner, I wanted to start another challenge! Really, starting Friday (Feb. 1st!), we have 140 days until summer (June 21st to be exact)! Whoop whoop! While it may seem early to be excited about warm weather, it’s never too early to start working on your fitness goals to achieve a body you are confident in!
In light of buckling down for the long haul, I am creating a 5 Phase Challenge to help us reach our ideal summer images! However, I don’t want you to think of this challenge as a merely a cutting phase. Rather, I want you to enjoy the process of fueling your bodies with nutrient dense food and staying active. With that being said: Welcome to the Savage But Pure Gold 2019 Challenge!
Where does Savage But Pure Gold come from? Actually, my mom sent me a quote on Pinterest about a month a go, and I fell in love with the meaning of it. Savage represents putting your head down and achieving what you say you are going to–no matter what. Sometimes, you just need to put in the work and results will follow. Pure Gold represents the work ethic, dedication, determination, and success that follows all of the hard work you put in. Sound good? Let’s break it down!
Here’s Our Plan:
- February: Food
- March: Workouts
- April: Adapt
- May: Persist
- June: Savage, But Pure Gold
February will kick off the Savage But Pure Gold 2019 Challenge! During the first 28 days of this challenge, we are going to focus on fueling our bodies with nutrient dense food. This means food swaps, meal prep, and myfitnesspal along with a starting goal and before picture.
In March, we are going to map out our workout schedule! Whether it be a 3, 4, or 5 day split, we are going to focus on establishing a workout routine we can follow and amp up our progress!
In April, we are going to re-evaluate our goal we set in February. Depending on how we are doing, we will adjust our food and workouts accordingly.
In May, we are going to be in the middle of graduation season and possibly the start of summer BBQs! Fear not, we are going to set up treats/free-meals to keep you on track!
June marks the last stretch of the Savage But Pure Gold Challenge! We are going to take our after pictures and celebrate our 140 days of hard work.
