#FoodieFriday: Turkey Panini (Dairy Free)

Happy Friday All!

It has been bitter cold here lately, and I have been craving comfort food at night. Soup and grilled cheeses remind me of late-cold nights back home. Sometimes, life gets in the way and you are not prepared to make a big fancy meal for dinner. Rather than go out to eat, my family would throw on a can of tomato soup and toast grilled cheeses for dinner.

Inspired by the weather and memories, I consumed a ton of panini sandwiches this week! But, I enjoyed every single one of them! And, the best part is I tried a new dairy-free cheese on my sandwich, and I really liked it. It tastes good, and I didn’t feel bloated like a typically do after consuming dairy products. Check out this QUICK and simple recipe below:

What You Need:

2 Pieces of Bread

4 Ounces of Deli Turkey

1/4 Cup Day Dairy-Free Cheddar Cheese

1/2 Cup Veggies (optional)

What You Do:

I didn’t want to dirty a ton of dishes cooking this week, and I didn’t want to use butter to fry my bread. Therefore, I utilized the toaster and microwave for this recipe.

First, toast your bread, and then, throw the bread on a plate!

Toast

Add on your cheese and meat.

Make a sandwich, and microwave for 2 intervals of 30 seconds. I flip my sandwich half way to avoid the bread from getting soggy!
