Happy Monday All!
I am typically a goal-lister. What do I mean? Well, anytime I want to accomplish something, I write it down on a piece of paper and either hang it on my wall near my desk or write it in a notebook I periodically look at. However, this time, I wanted to switch it up and bring my goals to life by making a vision board. After watching Paige Reilly’s Vision Board vlog on Youtube, I was inspired to create my own! Check it out below:
Rather than creating a poster, I decided to make my vision board on powerpoint. As a student, I spend a majority of my time on my laptop anyways and it’s great option if you don’t have a printer! Likewise, I decided to make my board my desktop picture, so I am constantly reminded of what I am working for.
When I first started making the vision board, it was slightly overwhelming. It’s hard to look at a piece of paper and see something visually pleasing to the eye. My best advice: just let your mind go for it! Pull up Google Images, search for key words (I focused on a travel, leisure activities, fitness, my blog, coffee, and academics), and chose pictures you like! Then, just rearrange them until the overall picture suits your taste.
I will say, after my board was completed, I felt really inspired. Imagining all the possibilities the next 11 months can bring is exciting. I highly recommend making a vision board/powerpoint if you are looking for extra motivation! Plus, it’s great if you are a visual learned or enjoy art-typed projects!
Even if it’s not January and the idea of New Year’s Resolutions is fading, I don’t think we should stop setting goals. Anytime is a great time to start working towards your passions. Who cares if it’s February! You have 11 months to be great! 🙂
If you had to pick one image to represent your biggest goal/passion, what would it be?
